Vampire Poll
Responses, Page 25

Back in the days when Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page was
located on AOL, I was able to run a short questionnaire from a modified
guestbook script hosted by AOL. Once I moved the site off of AOL's servers,
I no longer had the ability to run the response form off their script.
I've not found anything suitable since then to use, so I'm not running
the poll any longer or accepting new resonses; this may change someday
if I find a suitable script to use.
The poll ran from 3 January, 1998 until 31 December, 2000. I have archived
the responses the poll recieved in this section, and guests are still
able view them.

Response: I believe a true vampire is a creature who is immortal.
I truely believe all true vampires are the most attractive beings in the
world. Many of us might have even seen one and not realized it. I am not
sure about all the myths but one thing is for sure they can only come
out at night and blood is the only thing they put into their bodies. When
I think vampire I think of sex and seduction. I would be frightened to
meet one because I do not want to be a victim yet I would love to meet
one to gain knowledge of someone who has lived for hundreds maybe thousands
of years. I believe a true vampire to have tremendous strentgh and agility.
Not sure if they can transform into bats though, that thought was always
cheesy to me. I do believe you CAN NOT BE BORN ONE since after the transformation
I believe how you are is how you stay. Hell I think most of the time you
do not choose if you become one. I think true vampires exsist but I think
very few encountered one and knew it!

Response: You are what you make of yourself. Vampires just have a
few more challenges to face. As a general statement about people, those with
more challenges will work harder at them to rise above the rest. Remember
honors classes?

Response: I personally think vampires have a completely different
mannerism and sense about them that make them stand out from the so-called
normal crowd. They do enjoy sleeping during the day, coming out at night,
and love the sight and taste of blood. They have a hunger for it like
nothing else. They also have a very strong sex drive. Black is a favorite
color and they crave love in their life like they do blood. They enjoy
having a companion, like anyone else I suppose. Of course they aren't
really immortal....might age a little bit slower considering they never
see the sun, but, not immortal.....Just my personal opinion! Amber

time they must embrace it to survive.

Response: a vampire huh? well i would say they are pretty much
the same as normal humans, but possess many different things like the
lust for blood, vampire are still affected by diseases like AIDS and cancer
and will always be the same. i believe that humans don't like what they
don't understand and vampire would have to keep a low profile to prevent
being outcast from society

Response: I personally think that vampires are emotional people
with a lust and need for blood. I think that vampires do not dress like
they just came home from a funeral and that they look like normal people.
I think vampires are more emotional than most people and require self-control
to keep the "predatory" and "primal" instincts and feelings that I think
they have.

Response: Like anyone else, perhaps a little strange. I am not
saying I am real vampire or not, I am a Fiction writer at this time, who
likes Vampyric things, and the Paranormal, i am a little concerned about
those who drink blood even if they say they are getting tested. However
I do not believe in Immortal Beings. As For The PsiVampyre phenomena I
am not saying it's possible or impossible. I have been the viewer of many
irl [Ed: in real life] unexplainable things, it is not my call to judge
these "beings" to be reality or not.

Response: I believe that vampyres are how ever the hell they wish
to be like. Some dark and non social and others just another person in
the crowd. We are just like anyone else just have a different choice of
drink. And if they are smart they are more careful of who they talk to
and who they trust.

Response: I believe that a vampire is a person who has been influenced,
one way or another, to "awaken" and start showing all the symptoms. Personally,
I believe that it is much more psychological then is is biological. The
brain is an incredibly powerful tool which can, and does, create physical
changes within one's own body. The brain can also be an incredibly powerful
weapon against one's own body. Being a vampire does not bring joy into
one's life; if anything, it takes away. People begin to treat you differently,
even people close to you. And you, in return, treat them differently without
even knowing it. You lose friends, you withdraw from family members, and
you often get lost in a vast ocean of depression which seems un-swimmable,
but it's all in the brain. Perhaps it is a part of the brain becoming
active, or perhaps it's all "in our heads". But whatever it is, it's there,
and it can't be denied once found, and it will shape you into something
you never thought existed. If anything, this part of your brain should
not be awakened. It is evil, and it will, ultimately, destroy who you
are, and create a new person. And this new person is far worse off then
the last ever was.

Response: i think vampires can be your next door neighbor or the
little old lady at the check out line. There is no real way to tell who
they are, they don't dress any special way, or act any special way (most
of the time). All I know is that they are not some evil 16th century creature
that has lives in a cave and flies in bat form at night. It is part of
them that they either expand on or hide from the world.
