Back in the days when Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page was located on AOL, I was able to run a short questionnaire from a modified guestbook script hosted by AOL. Once I moved the site off of AOL's servers, I no longer had the ability to run the response form off their script. I've not found anything suitable since then to use, so I'm not running the poll any longer or accepting new resonses; this may change someday if I find a suitable script to use.

The poll ran from 3 January, 1998 until 31 December, 2000. I have archived the responses the poll recieved in this section, and guests are still able view them.

Response: OK, I entered last time as just 'Andrew'. Since then I've been thinking. I now believe I am a vampire. Or, at least, I have an alter ego sort of thing just below the surface. It is now awakening and coming closer and closer to surfacing. I have an empty feeling inside recurring more and more often, and I believe it is the Thirst. The idea of drinking human blood no longer worries me, but is now attracting me more and more. I look forward to my Vampiric side (I call it Koshmar) breaking loose with a mixture of fear and excitement. I'll fill you in when it happens.

Response: I think vamires are probably a sophisticated lot, for the most part. I would think in this day and age the need for civility would overcome any urges of savagery. I imagine today's vampires have to work hard at blending into the general population due to their incredibly high profile in the media and in general.

Response: Vampires... hmmm, well they are probably just like you and me. The average person, but they have a need for blood, perhaps to sustain their own life. I have dreamed a few times, of being bitten, very life-like dreams, and it didn't hurt as much as it was, for lack of another word, stimulating.

Response: Vampires are humans. I know as I am one -- or both if you think about it. We have different strengths and weaknesses but essentially we are all animals sharing this planet. I think we have so very much to offer, and little opportunity to do so. Vampires are very good in the welfare area..we can connect with people's emotions easily. I am a trained welfare worker and have met two vampires in my field. These are two of the most effective welfare workers I have ever seen. Personally, I find that most humans are unwilling or unable to accept something different.. it is a very sad state of affairs.

I became interested in them because someone I know reminded me of what (at the time) I would consider a real vampire to be like -- and he is very sweet and...alive and very positive and smart and knows....just about everything, it seems.
