Vampire Poll Responses, Page 13

Sanguinarius Toolbar - Vote for Sanguinarius

Back in the days when Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page was located on AOL, I was able to run a short questionnaire from a modified guestbook script hosted by AOL. Once I moved the site off of AOL's servers, I no longer had the ability to run the response form off their script. I've not found anything suitable since then to use, so I'm not running the poll any longer or accepting new resonses; this may change someday if I find a suitable script to use.

The poll ran from 3 January, 1998 until 31 December, 2000. I have archived the responses the poll recieved in this section, and guests are still able view them.

Response: I am not real sure of what they are. I know that they do exist and are people; one way or another. But my main interest is trying to find out the truth of who vampires really are.

Gender: Female
Age: 18
Response: it is my naive belief that everyone is individual (i know there are many who are not), so it is difficult to define any individual in terms of groupings. however, i consider vampires to be a group who face many difficulties because of how society functions... much like believers in extreme (and ridiculous?) religions, and people that face racism, sexism, etc. we are all discriminated against for the groups we belong to by those who experience jealousy, lack of understanding and need to affirm their own position within their groups. i dont think there is any specific rules for what a vampire is like or should be like. personal experience defines this not categorisation.

Name: Megarthis
Web Page:
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Response: Vampires are earthly beings who thrive on proteins in the blood. They must consume quantities of blood (it varies) for their survival, much like vampire bats do. they do not fly around like bats, can see themselves in the mirror, don't have shapeshifting abilities or weird supernatural powers. They have strong mental abilities and can read people's minds through strong concentration skills. I know these things, because I have been a vampire for 114 years.

Name: Brian A Dziamara
Web Page: none
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Response: As far as I know, and from what I have heard from those who claim to have met 'vampires'. Simply put, one who has a desire/need for blood, perhaps also with a slightly more acute hold on their senses and emotions than the average person.... oh ya, and they don't much like bright light/sunlight... granted, I don't either, but hey.... gotta stick with the stories. :)

Name: Eric "The Viking Man" Stover
Web Page:
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Response: a vampire is someone who longs for things things they can no longer have, such as life, and love. I say this because no human can love such a being; it would be foolish to do so, like a fish that loves a fisherman. A vampire is an abomination of humanity, yet he remains intriguing because he reminds us of that part of us that still enjoys the hunt and being the top on the food chain. But because he is immortal, he has given up that thing that is human and no one should wish for this.

Name: Justin Houck
Web Page:
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Response: I think most vampires are like most normal antisocial teens who are always moody and bitch daily. I also think we get judged very quickly with less tolerance. I believe blood drinkers are nothing but sociopaths who want to believe that they are important and have some sort of life.Go get help, you crazy freaks. Listen, I may sound like i am bitching, but listen, the last thing I need is an e-mail so my Mother can try to institutionalize me again. I have seen 2 therapists who say I am fine but that was do to chosing my words wisely. I also say that the sun has little to no effect on us. we do get sun poisoning just like normal people but we don't get burned. you people who do have a rare skin disease not related to a vampire condition. when i said don't e-mail me I was talking about the fucking idiots who have nothing to really say except I am critical and I would love for a person to ask and help answer questions.

Name: OutKast
Web Page:
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Response: first of all i don't think they get burned by the sun, and they have to have a stake in their heart. i think that part is full of shit that hollywood made for people's entertainment. personally myself, i drink blood and seriously crave it once and a while. i don't have any abnormal strength, and i don't grow fangs and sleep all day and i am not allergic to garlic.

Name: Ericka
Web Page: none
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Response: Personality-wise, I think vampires are like humans -- some may be good, others evil, but most would probably be neutral. As for abilities, they'd have to be stronger, faster, and more agile than a normal person. I don't believe in any of the crosses/garlic/holy water stuff, though.
