Back in the days when Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page was located on AOL, I was able to run a short questionnaire from a modified guestbook script hosted by AOL. Once I moved the site off of AOL's servers, I no longer had the ability to run the response form off their script. I've not found anything suitable since then to use, so I'm not running the poll any longer or accepting new resonses; this may change someday if I find a suitable script to use.

The poll ran from 3 January, 1998 until 31 December, 2000. I have archived the responses the poll recieved in this section, and guests are still able view them.

Response: As a native of Colorado, I know no other true beings of the night that can come from anywhere else with such a heavy Underground force. The true nature of the vampyre is carnal, however I have never in my life experienced anything bestial. My invitation extends to all who are true to the night to come to vampyre friendly Colorado. Response: I believe they drink blood, but not necessarily kill. I think that vampires are as varied as the humanity they originally came from. I do not think that vampires are even necessarily "gothic". I don't percieve them as evil or cruel on the whole, at least no more than most people. I don't believe they are *immortal*, but do believe that they can have seriously extended lives. I believe vampires can have improved psychic and other mental abilities. There, 'nuff said!

Response: Vampires are hunters. They are like chameleons that can change to blend in to the scenery. Although, I don't believe they "walk among" us much. That would be too risky and any creature that has that many restrictions in their lives will not want to add any more hazards to what they already have. You would know when you are near one...the fear you will feel will be so tangible you will taste it. They are in a sense serial killers. They kill repeatedly, without remorse, and they have their own style. Vampires would detest leaving anything in less than perfect order. There would need to be a symmetry to their lives. A balance of power and weakness. I suspect a vampire would be like a dangerous wild beast with a warped, human-like personality. There are a lot of emotionally unbalanced "children" out there that think that being a vampire is the ultimate power trip, or a romantic excursion, or just plain fun. How would you like to have the same problems you have yesterday and today for the next 500 years. Add to that the unusual dilemmas of a vampiric unlife and you would be miserable. Bon Soir

Response: personally, what i intend to inform any reader of this statement is that it is impossible to know what a true vampire is, most traits that we look into are taken from mortal fiction, or ideas that we want to think vampires are like, it is the same for the religous follower -- he is so fearful that if he doesn't believe he will be shunned or dammed eternally, or he wants it so bad he has to believe it -- it's the same for a vampire culture follower or someone who wishes themselves to be, or even believes they are -- just as like the mortal who is blind to the afterlife until they reach at which point all others are left in the dark until they reach that time as well -- just is the person who believes in vampires -- they are blind until they become one at which time all others are left in th4e dark until they reach that point, I would suggest that one who has become a vamp will not share their knowedge with a mortal. and if you have to ask or have someone else tell you that you are a vampyre, then you are not.... if you act like one, which would mean acting in the fictitious knowledge, then that means your beliefs and wishes are causing you to do so and not because you are one
