Back in the days when Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page was located on AOL, I was able to run a short questionnaire from a modified guestbook script hosted by AOL. Once I moved the site off of AOL's servers, I no longer had the ability to run the response form off their script. I've not found anything suitable since then to use, so I'm not running the poll any longer or accepting new resonses; this may change someday if I find a suitable script to use.

The poll ran from 3 January, 1998 until 31 December, 2000. I have archived the responses the poll recieved in this section, and guests are still able view them.

Response: I believe there are different types... personally I can only go on what I have experienced and learned from gathered knowledge and the deciphering of it... I do not believe everything I read... I believe there is much to learn about vampires... I know they exist... But what they are... I do not know... Who is to say if one is or not... I believe vampires are like humans in a way... a multiplicity of good and evil... sane and insane... dull and the imaginative... religious and the occultist... I believe they contain a genetic disposition... one that should be understood and helped... not persecuted... and labelled deviant... Response: They are unusual people. I don't think there are many boring, Kathy Lee Gifford type Vampires. But I also don't believe they are total freaks or mentally ill. Vampires would be welcome at dinner parties or in University Seminar rooms. I guess my ideas about what vampires are like is really pretty vague.

Response: I believe in vampires strongly, even though I am a bit young, I have a very old soul, and my outlook toward things is that of an adult's. I think that vampires are beautiful creatures, and some have hardships because of their gift. I feel that they can only die by a certain type of sunlight. That is the sunlight first of the day, the most fresh sunlight of all. The rest of the day, they only see black nad white, and live as a human, though at dusk they turn blood-sucking fiends. Also at night, they can see in color, and their senses are always on the look out. The only time (I feel,) that they can be killed is day, because that is when they are weak. I feel my opinion on them is a bit true, because I feel I have seen vampires, and I have dreams of these things, and I'm afraid that if I go on with my dreams, it will affect my life... but who knows? Please do not consider me some dull adolescent, because I'm not. Thank you very much for reading.

Response: Vampires are used to be mortals, which have had their souls taken by an immortal. Therefore, unable to die. They do not burn, and turn to ashes whenever touched by sunlight.. it just feels like it to them.. because they have absolutely no body temp. Therefore.. of COURSE sun would be hot. They can still eat real food.. but they choose to live off blood, because after they acquired a taste for blood, all other foods became bland. And they don't HAVE to sleep through the day.. it's just the fact that they only take a small portion of ONE person's blood... whereas.. it would take the ENTIRE amount of 3 people's blood.. just to make ONE meal.. therefore all their energy is used by night.. therefore causing them to fall into an extremely deep sleep during the day.

Response: Vampires are those among us who dislike sunlight (though they will not be burnt to a crisp if they go out in it). They long for the taste of blood (but will not die without it). Vampires do feel more confident in darkness (but they have no "special powers" at night). Vampires do get stared at by infants and are the subject matter of curious (and cautious) animals.

Response: I believe that a vampire is a person that has a difference like a medical disease that requires them to ingest regular amounts of blood with their meals or during a certain period of time. vampires are sensitive to everything as, the gene which causes this mutation does this. also I have found that they can go any where from 2 weeks to 7 months without feeding. (althought the vamp who went 7 months required hospitalization. he was suffering from a loss of blood). the vampire's immune system can break down blood into digestible factors which then are used or thrown out. Response: Vampires seem to be displayed as romantic dark creatures with immortality and superhuman powers. I personally don't believe that, a lot of them that I have spoken to live normal lives and in fact are extremely lonely. I believe there is a little bit of vampire in everyone; it's the fantasy that intrigues the non-vampires. There are many sides to a vampire and personally I think they are pretty much just as human as anyone else.
