You just have to look, and keep looking. You found me and this site, so that is a start. Online, I would recommend the “Vam-Personals”. Also, there is the Vampiric Community Message (& Support) Boards, fondly called “the VCMB”. (Bloody Minded: A Message Board for Blood Drinkers is also located there). There are also several similar sites as well as various message boards that I know of. For information on joining in on live, realtime chats, go to #Sanguinarius IRC Channel Home Page.
I now have a section which lists the different state and regional groups, elists, Houses/covens, and communities/clubs (that I am aware of) for real vampires in the USA as well as in other countries.
Always use common sense when meeting someone. Go with a friend, or two! Who seemed quite charming over the net might be a dangerous psychopath in person. Use caution until you get to know them. The last thing I want to have happen is someone to come to harm, okay?
From alt.vampyres FAQ: “You might also want to consider that someone who _truly_ believes he/she is a vampire is more likely to be a criminally insane than undead. Do you really want to invite a dangerous psychopath to come and suck your blood out…?” (Hey! Wait a minute!)
