Q: I am aware that there are different types of vampires and each have different ways of obtaining energy/source of supplement or what how ever you like to call it. Either it be for food or a kink; Obviously you have to be careful of where you get the blood from, but other than that does blood have any type of benefits? Like does it have any protein, is it healthy in any way, how much is too much?
Any information given will be most helpful!
A: Other than reportedly not having any nutritional benefit, blood is reported by many sanguninarians / blood feeders to give them energy, maintain their health and a lend a sense of well-being. It doesn’t satisfy a person’s nutritional requirements, however, as the blood passes through their system undigested. I’m not sure about the protein; I’ll check into that and get back with everyone.
As for how much is too much: Most sangs are content with a few drops to a few tablespoons full of blood; a few more extreme sangs require more, up to around 2 or 3 ounces. It’s hard to know exactly, though, when one is feeding, not measuring the blood.
Note of Caution: I would advise against merely drinking blood for any fort of health benefit, and if you can refrain from doing so without having your health or emotional well-being suffering. Drinking blood is at the very least unsafe activity and not to be done as something “cool” or to impress or shock others. If you can seed psychically (on psi, prana, life-force, etc.), I enfourage you to do so rather than ingesting blood.
