Sanguinarius accepts tips and donations. If you have found Sanguinarius.org helpful, please consider making a donation, even if it's just a few dollars. Below the donation panel, you'll find a few FAQs to answer questions you might have.

Current Needs

Monthly hosting cost for Sanguinarius.org is $8.99. Monthly internet connection costs about $25.00 per month. Plus indeterminate amount for phone line, electricity used, paper, ink cartridges, registering necessary software, and other sundry site- and community-related expenses incurred.

Currently, I'm hoping to purchase for review several nonfiction books aimed at real vampires which have been published recently. Projected cost is around $40 - $45.

Donation FAQs

Sanguinarius.org is free, so why donate?

Because such a huge website like Sanguinarius.org costs money to run, and I am about as poor as a churchmouse. Running Sanguinarius.org and all the associated costs (domain registration, monthly hosting fees, internet access, script registration, etc.) is all paid for completely out of my own pocket. Much of the functionality Sanguinarius.org offers (such as The Real Vampire Directory, The Vampiric Community Events Calendar, the web-based IRC Chat, etc.) are scripts which have to be registered, and that costs money that I really don't have; it comes out of a very small amount of money that would otherwise be spent for living expenses. So that Sanguinarius.org can afford to bring visitors and site users more and better services, features, resources and functionality.

All the time and effort I spend on keeping this site updated, I don't get paid for. Not a penny. A professional webmaster who spent as much time as I do on a site of this size would be making thousands for his time and effort. And that is just talking about the website itself, -- not even mentioning the time I spend on searching for news and information, giving what help and support I can (and if that lacks, then it's because I have no help and cannot afford to hire any!), and behind-the-scenes efforts to develop and network the community and real vampires, develop and implement materials, short and long range plans, goals, etc.

If having access to Sanguinarius.org's information and resources is useful to you, then please choose one of the available options and donate a few dollars at least. Making a donation is fast, secure and easy. Whether you donate $2 or $1000, you will be helping to keep Sanguinarius.org afloat and running smoothly. Thank you.

How much should I give?

You need to ask yourself how much are the services and information which Sanguinarius.org provides worth to you? Whether you can give $2 or $100, it is welcomed and will go toward helping finance the operation of Sanguinarius.org as well as developing and bringing new and better resources to the vampiric community. If 20 people donated only $2.00 each per month, I could actually afford to move Sanguinarius.org onto a domain host which meets the needs of Sanguinarius.org.

Where will the money go?

As stated above, every donation recieved will go towards helping keep Sanguinarius.org / Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page alive and running, and continuing to develop the site and bring you and other visitors more, useful and better resources. A note: The payment service that I use, Paypal, does take their cut out of the total amount that I recieve. For example, Paypal usually takes out from 0.7% to 2.9% plus 30¢ per transaction (it doesn't cost you, though). For more information about PayPal's fees, click here. Again, this does not affect your total donation; only the total that I receive.

Other Ways to Help Out

If you don't wish to make a donation, at least check out the items I offer (in conjunction with several merchants) in the Gothic & Vampire Store or my VampFangs Store. That way, you'd be getting something tangible (other than all the information and resources I provide). If you don't see anything you want, consider buying a gift for somebody else.

Buy a Sanguinarius T-Shirt to wear (or other Sanguinarius Gear) and proudly show your support while helping to spread the word about Sanguinarius.org at Sanguinarius.org's CafePress shop.
